Horseshoes by Jeff hand makes each item by building it with real horseshoes, NOT casting it. The item you receive may not be an EXACT match to the item pictured, but it will be very close. If you have questions, contact us. We can send you pictures for final approval.

My Art was been born out of my wife's desire for a Christmas star.. As I started working on the anvil the process between myself and the creation became a relationship that I did not know I desired. I find myself trying to find an understanding for the piece I'm working on. What I'm desiring to create and how the piece is reacting to the heat and pressure I put upon it is a fluid process. The heat allows the molecules of the steel to have a sense of flow under the pressure of my hammer. As the steel changes I continue working it until it takes the shape that the creations demand.

As I'm working I feel an excitement born out of what I love to do (shoe horses) and a new found love for creating out of the beauty of a horseshoe and hardwork. The excitement about the creation of the piece keeps my desire "heated", especially when the process is difficult and the creation doesn't seem to be working. When I make a shoe that surpasses all thought and the process shifts from struggle to success I feel a sense of Gods grace and connection.
